Reporting & Data Specialist– (HR, Power Bi, CRM) required to work for a world leading Oil and Gas organisation based in Middlesex for an initial 6 months.

The purpose of the Reporting and Data Specialist role is to support internal HR and cross-HR Delivery Centre operational and service management reporting; incorporating data from Salesforce CRM and Workday. The role also provides single source, ad hoc reporting services to the business across Foundational Services, Resourcing and Talent and Learning and Government and regulatory reporting. The remit will include data quality scorecards where requested.

Key accountabilities

Accountable for the analysis and fulfilment of ad hoc reporting requests (providing existing and creating new reports in Workday)

Run data lake reports for ad-hoc requests using Power BI or Business Objects.

Accountable for advising and educating requestors on the use of self-service reports and dashboards

Accountable for the set up and management of all standard/scheduled Workday reports

Continuous improvement of the reporting service, including the cross-HR reporting catalogue; building HR and business capability to move reporting requests to self-service

Support and deliver internal operational and service management reporting working with the HR Services Managers. This includes MI, performance dashboards, resource forecasting, workforce utilisation and tracking of efficiencies

Work with HR Services teams as required to resolve complex data requests across multiple accountabilities to support operational reporting gaps and HR MI

Liaise with Workforce Administration team to resolve more complex data queries and act as an escalation point as required

Technical Capability

Reporting Analyst experience and associated systems such as Workday report build, Business Objects Web Intelligence, Microsoft Power Bi

Able to provide advice and to know when to seek coaching and advice from other subject matter experts

Numeracy & analytical thinking – able to quickly and effectively generate and analyse a range of data to provide accurate and timely information to inform business decisions

Risk Management – able to manage less complex ER/IR cases responsibly, identifying, pre-empting and mitigating risk

Technical

Workday report development experience

Business object Web intelligence report development (BOBJ)

Microsoft Power Bi dashboard and report development

Foundational knowledge of CRM and HR systems e.g., SAP, Workday

Foundational knowledge of HR processes in Payroll, Talent, Learning and Resourcing

Proficient in using MS Office, particularly Excel

A continuous improvement approach; seeking simple, ‘best fit’ solutions to challenges
